Girls LEAD! Camp

JA Africa's LEAD (Leadership, Empowerment, Achievement and Development) Camps bring together girls from the ages of 14-18 to help them develop leadership and advocacy skills to empower themselves and other girls in their communities to achieve their full Potential.

During a 3- to 5-day period, up to 200 girls are coached by prominent and accomplished professional women from influential companies, government, and civil society organizations; mentored to design community or media projects advocating for the girl-child; and empowered to return to their communities to implement projects and achieve set goals.

Innovation Camps (IDEATHONS)

Innovation Camps or Ideathons are JA's experiential education programs, which encourage creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving among young learners. During Ideathons, students gather to address a specific business challenge and brainstorm ideas which solve the problem, typically using design thinking and STEM principles, and a human-centered approach.
