Partner With Us Old

For 100 years, JA has pioneered programs that bridge the gap between formal education and the world of work for young people all around the world. From JA’s earliest years, we have fulfilled the distinctive roles of catalyst, experimenter, and developer and have proven to be an effective instrument for youth economic empowerment and workforce readiness. JA’s award-winning programs, developed in collaboration with educators around the globe, consistently advance education development for young people of all ages and institutions of all types.

JA’s capabilities include:

  • Project planning, design, delivery
  • Training and technical assistance
  • Curriculum and materials development
  • Partnership with the Private Sector
  • Online learning, media outreach and social media education

JA Africa is proud to have collaborated with a number of leading organizations from a variety of sectors. Alongside hundreds of local relationships, we have also partnered on a global and regional scale. Along with our partners, we aim to strengthen youth entrepreneurial ecosystems across Africa, inspire collaboration between stakeholders, and support young people as they prepare to enter the workforce.

We are grateful that our partners believe in JA’s mission and approach and continue to engage with us and our Member Nations across Africa.

In recognition of our expertise and experience, JA Africa was awarded the UNESCO King Hamad Youth Enablers Award to achieve the SDGs in 2019.

Other recognitions that JA has received include the Future Partner Prize by the Pan African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education and the Entrepreneurship Evangelist Award 2019 by the Anzisha Prize Committee.

Citi

The Citi and Citi Foundation partnership with Junior Achievement (JA) dates back to 1986; nearly three-decades of engagement across more than 50 countries. Since 2015, the Citi Foundation has invested $2.1 million in Junior Achievement across Africa as part of Pathways to Progress, the Foundation’s global effort to prepare urban youth to thrive in today’s economy. In addition, around 350 Citi staff are involved in volunteering to support delivery of JA programs in Africa, including a number of Citi Country Officers and Bank Heads who sit on JA Country Boards.

The Tomorrow Foundation

The Tomorrow Foundation began funding JA’s programs in 2018 as a sponsor of the annual Company of the Year competition. The Foundation expanded its commitment in 2019 through a three year, $300,000 grant to fund the Company Program in Ghana, Gabon and as a founding funder of JA Cote d’Ivoire.

The SOL Foundation

The SOL Foundation partnership with JA Africa began in March 2019 with a grant award to implement the Sports for Skills and Enterprise project, which aims to reach young football- players between the ages of 15 and 25 from difficult/socially marginalized backgrounds living in the urban and peri-urban communities in Johannesburg, South Africa, Lusaka, Zambia and Harare, Zimbabwe.

Delta Airlines

Delta Air Lines has been a proud partner of Junior Achievement’s work many years in a number of markets around the globe. In 2017, Delta strengthened its commitment to education by expanding its partnership to Junior Achievement Africa. Over $100,000 has been invested in JA Africa’s initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa around youth economic empowerment.

Over the two years of the Delta and JA Africa partnership, together we have reached more than 500 secondary school and university students with the support of 15 Delta employees. With the programs that we support – Innovation Camps and the JA Company Program – we want to encourage students to embrace critical thinking, social innovation and entrepreneurship to tackle societal challenges. We believe that by doing so they will gain important skills required in any job or business.
