Willy Moreau is a young entrepreneur who participated in JA Gabon’s Company Program, funded by Citi Foundation in 2015. At that time he was a high-school student at Collège Secondaire Ambourouet and developed a multi-functional domestic broom in collaboration with his team.
The company won first place at the National Company of the Year competition that year. Today, he is a university student and is still putting his entrepreneurial skills to use.
Moreau returned to JA Gabon during his studies for support in developing a new business project: a sweet popcorn franchise in high-schools. The name of the project is Ana & Will.
Starting with one high-school, he is now running two branches of his business in two different locations. Moreau is pursuing a one year JA mentoring program and has applied for a loan from a local bank in order to open more branches.
He credits the Company Program as his greatest experience as a student – one that launched his entrepreneurial career.
“After the program, I decided to continue my apprenticeship by pursuing the mentoring program. I started by putting together an action plan. I conducted good market research, which gave me the motivation to start my activities. I conducted my test in the market and my main clients are colleges, high schools, individuals and recreation centers. The next step I have to take now is completing the funding plan. after that I can apply for a seed fund that will allow me to expand my business.” says Willy.
