Junior Achievement (JA) Ghana is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Odjobi Kwakye as its new Executive Director. Mr. Kwakye is a development professional with more than 13 years of experience in micro, small and medium enterprises development, training design and implementation, project management and Business Development Services (BDS) delivery. Prior to joining JA Ghana, he worked as Development Advisory Services Specialist – Anglophone West Africa, at African Management Services Company (Now AMSCO Development Solution Pty) where he led the implementation of a multi-million dollar African Training and Management Services (ATMS) project in Ghana. He also worked for the Netherlands Development Organization as Project Manager, The Hunger Project-Ghana as Project Manager, Organization for Livelihood Enhancement Services as Business Development Manager and the National Board for Small Scale Industries as Small Enterprises Development Officer.
JA is recognized throughout the world as the expert in providing business and economic education to young people. Since its founding in 1919, JA programs have served as a catalyst for bringing real-world business knowledge and hands-on experience to young people. JA has improved the lives of more than 125 million youth around the world, and last year alone, JA facilitated more than 10 million student experiences. Junior Achievement programs were first introduced in sub-Saharan Africa in 1979, and now JA has operations in 14 African nations reaching more than 200,000 youth annually.

Born and raised in Ghana, Odjobi earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Art from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, and has a master’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Financial Management from Amity University of India.
He holds advanced Certificate in Monitoring & Evaluation from AACE Evaluation Training Institute. He is also a Certified International Project Manager (CIPM) under the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM) and a member of the same professional body. Again, he is also a Certified Professional Trainer by the International Association of People and Performance Development (IAPPD)
