As governments across Africa react to the rapid spread of
the coronavirus across the continent and the globe with school closures, JA
Africa’s work will be affected.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are affected by
this virus and we are doing our part to stop its further spread.
JA Africa staff are currently working from home until we
receive other directives about public health and safety.
Within JA Member Nations in Africa, programs, including
planned trainings for staff and student events have been suspended.
Similarly, travel has also been suspended indefinitely.
The wellbeing of young Africans, of our staff and
stakeholders is a paramount consideration for us and we urge everyone to
observe all protocols from the authorities designed to prioritize our health
and safety.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank our donors,
whose support for us during these challenging times has been unwavering.
