March 8, 2019 – BEBOLD and JA Africa are happy to announce their new partnership to empower young girls in Africa to succeed in business and as leaders. BEBOLD has chosen JA Africa as its CSR partner in Africa as part of their mission to empower young women to be confident, bold and successful. BEBOLD will promote and support JA Africa’s programs on Financial Literacy, work readiness and Entrepreneurship, through their various donation schemes and networks.
Founded by Mathilde Delonca and Nicoline Roth, BEBOLD is a footwear brand is dedicated to female empowerment; providing women with knowledge, support and fashion items that will make them feel confident and empowered in their journey towards success. The company’s core mission is to empower and connect ambitious, hard working women across borders.
The BEBOLD community and BEBOLD will financially support the work of JA Africa by a percentage of its revenues generated from selected products. JA Africa and BEBOLD will utilize the funds raised to jointly implement a girls’ leadership camp in a selected country. JA Africa has also been selected as the benefitting organization for a fundraiser hosted by BEBOLD in Copenhagen, Denmark in September 2019.
Bridging the gap and ensuring African girls have equal opportunities especially in male-dominated fields is of great value to BEBOLD and JA Africa. JA Africa has undertaken Girls’ empowerment projects such as Leadership Camp for Girls in Uganda and Ghana, LEAD camp in Nigeria and Take Ten thousand Girls to Work (Job Shadow program) in Zimbabwe. This partnership will help JA Africa garner more support to reach many more girls; empowering and mentoring them with skills that will improve their self-esteem, leadership, entrepreneurship skills.
