JA Leads Angel to Profits

Angel Ngambi started his domestic electric equipment and installation business with his stepfather and K1,200 in start up funds. Initially the business was profitable and they were even able to employ some individuals from their community. However, Angel and his stepfather soon realized they did not know how to sustain or further expand their business.

This is when angel began to inquire in the community about how he could gain business knowledge. “I eventually heard about Junior Achievement Zambia which offered the ITS TYME (Immersion Training Strategy: Targeting Young Marginalized Entrepreneurs) training to youth  to engage in self-sustaining activities and entrepreneurship.” Angel completed ITS TYME and used the skills he learned to diversify his business into construction.

“Our business has now been running for a year now and we make K8, 000 per month.  The business is doing well thanks to JA Zambia.”
